PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
We will continue
to build on our vision of Success for All Students at the
2008 Annual Educators’ Conference. More specifically,
an outstanding group of presenters will join us to take
a look at the future.
Keynote speaker
Patrick Bassett, President of the National Association of
Independent Schools (NAIS), will address the ¨Right
Brain Future.¨ This presentation will be based on a
number of ideas analyzed by Daniel Pink in his work A Whole
New Mind, Exploring the Implications for Teaching and Learning
in 21st Century Schools.
Ms. Carolyn McKanders´s
keynote on Friday will take a focus on “Polarity Management.”
She will discuss how polarity maps provide the contact for
effectively addressing apparently unsolvable problems. This
tool provides leaders with insights and a methodology to
effectively manage the most important issues in organizations
today.
The Carol Morgan
School community, under the leadership of Mr. Jack Delman,
will be our conference host. The event is scheduled for
October 14-16, 2009 at the Renaissance Hotel Jaragua and
the Hotel Melia. Our pre conference institutes will take
place October 10-13, 2009.
