Use of Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it by sending us an e-mail, participating in a survey, or completing an on-line form. Personal information submitted will not be transferred to any non-affiliated third parties unless otherwise stated at the time of collection. When a user submits personally identifiable information it is used only for the purpose stated at the time of collection.

Consent

Where consent for the use and disclosure of personal information is required, the school will seek consent from the appropriate person. In the case of a student’s personal information, the school will seek the consent from the student and/ or parent depending on the circumstances and the student’s mental ability and maturity to understand the consequences of the proposed use and disclosure.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser that allows the website to “remember” your preferences (such as calendar settings and site bookmarks) on the site from visit to visit, or to maintain your “logged in” status when visiting protected areas. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Web browsers have settings allowing you to reject cookies, or selectively accept cookies, or delete cookies previously accepted. Please be aware that rejecting or deleting cookies from our website may make certain functions unavailable to you.

Log Files

Like most standard website servers we use website statistic packages such as Google Analytics to analyze trends in how our website is accessed and utilized. This information is anonymous and cannot be directly linked to individual users. Security

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' personal information. Whenever users submit personal information (such as contact info or credit card info) via online forms, registration, or online purchase, upon submission that information is encrypted via the highest level of SSL (Secured Sockets Layer) available. Servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment. Under no circumstances are credit card numbers permanently stored on our website servers.

Non-secured Communications

Posts to discussion forums, discussion boards, and comments to blogs are viewable by other users. When these areas are not in a password protected area, they may be viewable by the general public. Please be aware of this when posting personal information in these areas.

Tri-Association TriCon Alcohol policy: 

Preamble

The Tri-Association is committed to ensuring that the annual Educators’ Conference (TriCon) remains equitable, sustainable, and aligned with its professional and educational purpose. In order to avoid escalating and/or conflicting expectations, financial inequities between host schools, and the gradual expansion of non-essential costs, the Tri-Association does not consider the provision of alcohol to be part of the standard conference experience or host responsibilities. This approach reflects the Association’s commitment to maintaining a professional environment consistent with the values of educational institutions and the example they seek to model. It also supports consistency across conferences, protects host schools from unnecessary financial pressure, and ensures that conference resources remain aligned with the Association’s educational mission.

Policy

• The Tri-Association does not fund or subsidize alcohol at the annual TriCon conference.

• Alcohol is not considered part of the standard TriCon program or host responsibilities.

• Host schools are not expected to provide alcohol, and the absence of alcohol will not be viewed as a limitation of the event.

• If a host school chooses to make alcohol available, it must:

  • Be offered as a separate, optional, and host school-paid purchase.

  • Include no more than two complimentary drinks per participant as a limited courtesy, provided this is permitted by the host school’s own policies. This provision is optional and should not be interpreted as a standard expectation for future conferences.

  • Not be included in event fees or programming.

  • Not be positioned or promoted as a core component of the official TriCon event.

  • Be clearly distinguishable from the official conference program and budget.

• All legal, financial, and social risks related to the serving of alcohol remain solely the responsibility of the host institution. The Tri-Association will not be held responsible for anything related to the serving of and/or the consumption of alcoholic beverages during the TriCon event. 

Disclaimer

Tri-Association membership is open to regular member schools who belong to one of the three sub-regions (ASOMEX, AASCA, and ACCAS), invitational schools and corporate organizations. Informal alliances also exist with several organizations based on their educational nature. If a member school chooses to contract separately with one of our Corporate member organizations or one of our allies, this is completely voluntary on their part. Although the Tri-Association accepts Corporate memberships and alliances from an array of organizations, we do not promote any one organization over another. Schools should make their contractual determinations based on their needs and policies. The Tri-Association can not be held responsible for any consequences or community issues stemming from anything related to an alliance with one of our member schools or a member organizations. 

The Tri-Association hosts face to face and virtual training sessions throughout the school year as a benefit to our member organizations. Participation in our annual, ongoing events is completely voluntary. The Tri-Association can not be held responsible for any consequences or community issues stemming from anything related to any face to face or online training.
