NGSS Partnership Workshop Series: 3-D Instruction with Paul Andersen

Thursday, February 18th (4 - 5:30 pm EST)

Exclusively for K- 12 teachers of science in Tri Association member schools!

The NGSS Partnership is a regional series sponsored by the Tri-Association aimed at building collective teacher capacity around Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) based instruction and assessment.

Paul Andersen

The Next Generation Science Standards represent the largest conceptual shift in teaching science in decades.  The addition of engineering design and an increased emphasis on the practices and crosscutting concepts of science can revolutionize science education.  However this revolution will only occur if teachers understand the standards and make changes in their classrooms.

Teachers: Come and experience this form of 3-dimensional instruction with Paul Andersen as your guide. Explore the wonders of science as you rediscover the curiosity that guided your childhood. Come prepared to do science as a learner in a distance learning model!

Instructional Coaches and Administrators: In addition to the inspirational learning we will experience with Paul, we will also concurrently run a breakout room intended to support instructional leaders in transforming their school’s science program with NGSS and phenomena-based learning. You will have the chance to ask questions about implementation, explore research related to NGSS, and hear from other leaders in the region.

Important: This workshop requires you to download the latest version of Zoom before starting to participate fully. Please do this prior to the meeting start.
