This month-long asychronous course provides teachers and administrators with the foundations needed to implement and build rich, authentic, student-driven science experiences that are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the pedagogical shifts contained in the K-12 Framework for Science Education. Participant competency is built across 9 modules of one hour each with sessions focusing on understanding the framework of NGSS, the teaching and learning shifts, and how to evaluate lessons and resources for alignment. The real power of this course is in the community, as it
will bring together educators across the Tri-Association region to discuss their reflections, practices, and new learning. The course promotes the sharing of ideas, examples, questions, responses, and needs in both divisional and job-alike spaces for the entire month of the course in September 2026.
