Description 
The solutionary micro-credential empowers educators to think compassionately, act systemically, and create humane, meaningful learning environments. Through the Solutionary Framework: Identify, Investigate, Innovate, Implement, participants tackle a real wellbeing challenge or design a student-led inquiry-to-action project. In six focused sessions, we’ll learn to define problems, uncover root causes, co-create ethical solutions, and lead impactful action that builds agency and lasting change.

Outcomes


Session 1. Becoming Solutionary Educators: Concept & Mindset
Demonstrate an understanding of solutionary thinking and its impact on teaching and learning.
Apply reflective practice to examine personal beliefs, values, and biases.
Explain how compassion, curiosity, and ethical awareness guide solutionary action.


Session 2. Establishing Solutionary Learning Environments 
Explore the principles and concepts of humane education 
Integrate these into teaching and learning


For the remainder of the sessions, participants 1) focus on how they will use the    Solutionary Framework to address a problem related to staff, student or family wellbeing in their school or community OR 2) develop a plan for how they will use the Solutionary Framework with their students to empower them to address an issue they care about in their school or community and support students to develop agency, optimism and skills


Session 3. Phase 1 of the Solutionary Framework: Identify 
Identify challenges and learn how to write problem statements and guiding questions.


Session 4. Phase 2 of the Solutionary Framework: Investigate
Investigate the problem by engaging with stakeholders, collecting and analyzing data, investigating root causes and practicing systems thinking and ethical research.


Session 5. Phase 3 of the Solutionary Framework: Innovate
Plan practical interventions to the problems identified that address root and/or systemic causes and plan for implementation.


Session 6. Phase 4 of the Solutionary Framework: Implement
Implement solutionary action, share, assess, reflect and celebrate.
