At Colegio Interamericano in Guatemala City, our library continues to be a joyful space that connects students and teachers across grade levels. Recently, our Grade 1 team launched their Mystery Reader program in the Lower School Library with a very special guest- Ms. Candice Jones from the Middle School. What made this visit even more meaningful was that Ms. Jones shared her very own picture book, Where Are You From?, a story that beautifully celebrates diversity and belonging.
Students were thrilled to meet a real author from their very own school and hear her read a book that reflects the value of inclusion within our community. This collaboration between levels not only fostered a love of reading but also strengthened our sense of connection across the school. We are proud to celebrate Ms. Jones’s work and the ways our library continues to build bridges through books and shared experiences.
